Our Breeding Program
Christine Anderson
Hi, I am the breeder behind Delta Doodles and Poodles. I have a passion for dogs. I love them ALL. Unfortunately, I am allergic to most breeds. It doesn’t stop me from loving on any dog I see, ( I am the crazy lady who goes up to strangers just to pet their dogs) but it does keep me from owning certain dogs. Luckily, I found the Poodle. I learned that when carefully breeding a poodle with a similarly conformed breed such as a Golden Retriever, you can create a mostly hypoallergenic dog. Raising a wonderful dog for a family with allergies like mine are my bread and butter. After all, I am a true believer that every boy (or girl) needs dog and allergies should not have to be an issue in bringing one home.
In Home Breeding
From the moment they are born to the moment they leave, my puppies are in my care. I whelp them, hold and play , teach and train, love and care for them. I know each of their sweet personalities. They are exposed to the sights, smells, and sounds of a home. I whelp them in a quiet and comfortable room where they stay with their mom until they are old enough to move to my kitchen and living areas. They are constantly held and loved by children and adults.
Learning and Socialization
I follow two training programs with my puppies. I have been doing Puppy Culture from the beginning, and I just started the Baddass Breeder program. I love sending my puppies home with such a huge foundation of learning. At days 3 through 16 we do Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction. These two simple things are a huge part of having a well-rounded dog. At two weeks old we also start daily “massages” that continue until the day they leave. At 4 weeks old we start training where each puppy learns many basic commands and eventually even leash and crate training. Another big part of my program is puppy socialization. Each puppy goes home having met, and been loved on, by many, many different people. Then, once old enough they take trips to the family farm where they meet all types of animals and new sounds and smells. By the time they are 8 weeks old they are well prepared to be a great pet, companion, or therapy dog in training.
